Association of Photographers Gallery
Conversion of a four-storey Victorian warehouse building within the Shoreditch Conservation Area to create new galleries, offices and library for the Association. The phased works were carried out to tight programme and budget constraints of multiple funding sources.
A double-height gallery combines ground and basement areas to maximise the street impact and bring natural light deep into the building. It provides a large multi-level exhibition space with flexibility to accommodate frequently changing single or multiple shows and features a purpose-designed hanging system.
